Support
Something not working, or a question we haven't answered here? Email [email protected]. A real person reads every message, and we aim to reply within two working days.
Before you write
Telling us three things gets you a useful answer first time instead of a round trip:
- Whether you're using the Android app, the iPhone app, or the website.
- The email address you signed in with, so we can find your account.
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead. A screenshot helps.
You can also send this from inside the app, which attaches the details automatically: open Account and use Feedback. It takes photos too.
Common questions
I can't sign in
You can sign in with your email address or with Google. If you're waiting on a code sent to your email and it hasn't arrived, check your junk folder first — new senders often land there. If it's still missing after a few minutes, email us and we'll check the delivery log for your address.
I've forgotten my password
If you're already signed in, open Account, then Manage account, then Change password. If you're locked out, use the forgotten-password link on the sign-in screen, which sends a reset to your email address.
How do I delete my account?
Open Account, then Manage account, then Delete account. It removes your profile, your saved deals, your history and your preferences. It is permanent and cannot be undone, so we ask you to confirm first. If you run a business on HapHood, deleting your account also removes the business, and the confirmation warns you before that happens. Full detail of what is deleted and what we're required to keep is on the Privacy Policy.
How do I stop notifications?
Open Account, then Preferences, and look under Notifications. Personal accounts can turn off email, nearby deal alerts and favourite deal alerts. Business accounts can turn off new booking alerts and business email. A few service messages, such as a booking being cancelled, are always sent. You can also switch HapHood notifications off entirely in your phone's system settings.
A deal wasn't honoured at the shop
Tell us which shop and roughly when, and we'll take it up with them. Shops set their own deals and are responsible for honouring them, but we want to know when that goes wrong — it's the whole point of the thing.
I run a shop and want to list it
Email [email protected] and say where you are. We're onboarding shops neighbourhood by neighbourhood rather than all at once, so we'll tell you honestly whether we're live near you yet.
Billing
Shops pay £1 per confirmed scan. There is no monthly subscription and no fee for listing — no scans means no charge. Those scans are gathered into a single invoice once a month, across all your branches, and charged to your saved card. You can see the running total before it's invoiced under Account, then Payments, in business mode. If a charge looks wrong, email us with the date and we'll check it against the scan record.
Customers are never charged by HapHood. The app is free to use.
Reporting a security problem
If you think you've found a vulnerability, email [email protected] with the word "security" in the subject. Please give us a reasonable chance to fix it before publishing anything. We won't pursue anyone who reports a genuine issue in good faith.
